Aaron is a Canadian multi-instrumentalist, DJ, songwriter and producer based in Toronto. He has been playing music since the age of 6 starting with piano having competition and solo performance experience. At age 8, he then began to study the alto saxophone having experience performing all over North America as Section Leader with the Philippine Heritage Band. At age 16, he then started to study the trumpet having won multiple awards (Kiwanis Music Festival, Jazziest, Music Alive) as Trumpet Section Leader in the Father Michael McGivney Catholic Academy Stage Band.
As a pianist, composer and producer, he has performed with the group he co-founded Bitter&Broke; a DJ/band/producer trio based out of Toronto focusing on R&B, Neo-Soul, Hip-Hop with elements of classic funk and soul. Accounting for all of his musical experiences, Aaron has performed in 5 different countries (Canada, United States, Cuba, Singapore, Bali). In Toronto specifically, he has played venues of the likes of Dundas Square, Mod Club, The Great Hall, The Silver Dollar, The Burdock, OBJX Studio, Annette Studio, and more. In terms of music education, Aaron’s experience spans from teaching the young and the seasoned. Having experience as a private music instructor and as a performance trainer has enabled Aaron to be a prime music educator. His passion for music and teaching yields great results for students wishing to learn more about music.
