Violin
As a classically trained violinist, Alexa began studying the violin at the age of four and has received her Grade 8 Royal Conservatory of Music Violin and Grade 2 RCM Theory certificates. She graduated with an Enriched Diploma from the Canadian College of Performing Arts and Honours Bachelor of Music Theatre Performance from Sheridan College. Today, Alexa continues to play the violin professionally in various theatrical productions including Midsummer Night’s Dream (Theatre Rusticle) and Once (Thousand Islands Playhouse. She is currently a member of the Summerhill Orchestra, as well as a guest artist with the Toronto punk band Chinese Medicine. Alexa would love to guide you into the world of the violin, from learning the basics to exploring the technical requirements that truly make the instrument sing. Using the Suzuki method as a foundation, she brings a unique approach to each student and their way of learning, inspiring a love and joy for music.
