Michael is a multi-instrumentalist, performer and educator, with over 20 years of experience teaching music lessons
and performing in Toronto and abroad. He teaches various styles, including rock, pop, jazz & classical.
Michael has a unique and personalized approach and enjoys teaching students of all age groups,
backgrounds, learning styles and musical interests. He has been successfully coaching guitar and piano
students for RCM exams, recitals and competitions. some of his students have graduated with honours
and received gold medal awards. In addition he enjoys preparing students for college & university entry exams and working with school bands across the city.

Michael began his musical training at the age of 5 studying classical piano and solfeggio. At 12 he began playing classical guitar, and later
picked up the electric guitar. It was at this point where he developed a passion for jazz, rock and improvised music. He studied in a Berklee affiliated collage, majoring in jazz performance, arranging and composition. He also focused on traditional harmony and counterpoint.
Michael can be found performing in various venues in the GTA and abroad as a soloist or part of an ensemble. He is extremely versatile and any given week performs classical, jazz, funk, fusion, rock, blues, country, reggae, and other popular
styles of music.
