Raphael

Raphael began his musical studies at Philippine Research of Developing Instrumental Soloists, in his hometown of Manila, Philippines. The program was offered in conjunction with the Manila Symphony Orchestra and Raphael's brilliance eventually led to an invitation to be one of the first of the few young musicians to move up to the Manila Symphony Orchestra. This was an incredible accomplishment since at the time, current members of the Orchestra’s Academy program were not frequently invited. Raphael obtained a DipABRSM from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Music Performance with Honours in 2021, and Master of Music Performance in 2023 from the University of Toronto. He is currently based in Toronto where he offers violin lessons, viola lessons and performs frequently.
